Les Fils Du Vent is a project by Italian photographer Alessandro Simonetti and Lucia Chiappini. Shot during the celebrations on 24 May of Saint Sarah who is a black religious figure, worshipped by Nomads.

At the geographical and cultural nexus of South and Southeast Asia lies the region of Assam. Home to rare wildlife and robust tea, Assam's celebrated textile is silk, the three native threads being Eri, Muga, and Paat. While Eri's texture lends itself well to the region's winters, and Muga's naturally golden hue best suits it for formal garb, Paat's durability and sheen make it versatile for casual wear. Paat is a bit stiff when first woven, but gains a softer hand over time and is known to last decades with proper care. The design seen on this shirt, created by Alessandro Simonetti, is truly a part of the fabric, woven into it on the loom itself. Any slight inconsistencies in the weave are characteristic of handwoven textiles.
